7 Bible Proverbs You Should Learn This Week

You’ve heard the old saying: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Well, I believe that a Bible proverb each day helps keep trouble away. So here are seven (7) Bible proverbs for you to read, meditate upon, and (hopefully) memorize each day this week.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
-Proverbs 4:23

The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
-Proverbs 10:11

In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
-Proverbs 10:19

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
-Proverbs 11:2

Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
-Proverbs 12:1

Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.
-Proverbs 12:22

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
-Proverbs 13:20

The above proverbs are all provided in the classic King James Version. You may, of course, choose to read them in your preferred contemporary English translation. You can also do a Hebrew word study on some of the key terms in each proverb.

They can help you in your home, your relationships, your workplace, your career, at school, and in life in general.

I encourage you to read one each day this week, meditate on it, memorize it, and consider how the Holy Spirit wants you to incorporate its wisdom into your life.

God bless you.
