To my brothers and sisters in Christ in the United States of America, I extend greetings in the name of our Lord and our Savior, Jesus Christ. And I offer you this observation and appeal:
We are wrecking our witness, obliterating our testimony, and destroying our credibility.
At the beginning of the Book of Acts, Luke records Jesus’ final words to the disciples before His ascension:
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:8, NKJV
We are to be “witnesses” to and for Jesus. When people see us, they should see Jesus in us.
