As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This season is such a special time to reflect on the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Christ, our Savior, who was born in a humble manger to bring hope, peace, and salvation to the world.
Christmas reminds us that no matter what challenges or joys this past year has brought, God’s love remains constant. The message of Emmanuel—“God with us”—is as true today as it was on that first Christmas night. Let’s carry that truth into the New Year, trusting in His faithfulness and grace for whatever lies ahead.
As you look to 2025, please consider setting some goals in your walk with the Lord. There isn’t anything sacred about “New Year’s Resolutions.” Any day is a good day for God-honoring goals and resolutions. But the turn of a year is a good time to reflect on the direction of your life and to consider what God has in store for you.
Thank you for being a part of my life and ministry. I want to thank all of you who read and follow this blog. And I want to thank the members of Olney Baptist Church for the honor of being your pastor.
I’m so grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and support. May your Christmas be filled with joy and your New Year be blessed with God’s guidance and peace.
I will resume blog posts in early January. Until then…
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
