Hey Everyone! I want to say “Thank you” to all my readers. You make blogging a joy.
As most of you know, I’m privileged to serve as the senior pastor of Olney Baptist Church in Montgomery County, Maryland. As an online extension to my ministry with OBC, this blog has been a labor of love for me. And I really appreciate those of you who read what I post :-), and a special thanks to those who take the time to make comments and offer suggestions.
With this post, I want to give you a peek behind the curtain. According to my “analytics,” there are three blog posts which draw more traffic than all my other posts. In fact, it’s fair to say that these three articles get more traffic than the rest of my articles combined.
And here they are…
Is it Wrong for a Christian to Play Dungeons & Dragons?
The ‘Romans Road to Salvation’ (KJV)
A Man Called Pain: The Story of Jabez in the Bible
As to why these are more popular than my other blog posts, it probably has more to do with my keyword strategy than the quality of my writing. 🙂
If you were to ask which articles on this blog are my favorite, that would be impossible to say. I try to get better as a writer each month. But here are three articles I’d like to recommend to you if you haven’t read them already:
21 Proverbs You Can’t Live Without
7 Books I Wish Every Single Christian in America Would Read
Random Questions About Pastors
And of course I don’t just write here. I also write on the Medium platform. Here are my most popular articles on Medium:
“The Ugly Cost of Being Nice,” published in ILLUMINATION (September 2, 2021)
“How I’ve Read 323 Books in 4 Years,” published in Ascent (February 6, 2021) **Note: I’m now closing in on 500 books over 5 years.**
“Is It Wrong for a Christian to Read or Write Fantasy Novels?,” published in Koinonia (July 24, 2021)
I hope you enjoy the above articles, and I hope you continue to follow (and enjoy) this blog. 🙂
God bless you!
Thank you for reading. If you wish to support my ministry…
Please Note: As always, the views expressed in this blog do not necessarily reflect those of the church I’m honored to serve as pastor. The views are mine and all comments, concerns, and questions should be directed to me.
