According to Barna Research Group, only 32 percent of Christians in the U.S. have read the Bible all the way through. If that’s not bad enough, according to the American Bible Society, 26 million Americans stopped reading the Bible pretty much altogether during COVID.
Be better than those statistics.
Make a goal right now to read the Bible in 2024.
Not just read from the Bible, but read the entire Bible — word for word, cover to cover.
“I don’t have time.”
You do. It’s not an issue of time. It’s an issue of drive and discipline.
“But…it’s impossible.”
Wrong again. I’m here to prove to you that (absent some extreme challenge or obstacle), anyone can read the entire Bible through in 2024 with just a little commitment and time management.

The average American adult reads 238 words per minute. Let’s say you read a paltry 100 words per minute. That’s well below the national average. Well below. And yet… you can still do this.
Most people, if they are determined enough and just a tiny bit creative, can carve out an hour each day to read. Maybe not an hour at one sitting, but 15 minutes here, 30 minutes there, and so forth until you reach 60 minutes of read time. Most of us can do that — especially if you’re able to listen to books on audio.
But…let’s say you can’t even do that. Let’s say you can only clock 30 minutes total read time each day.
If you read 30 minutes each day at 100 words per minute, you can read 3,000 words per day.
There are 366 days in 2024. It’s a leap year, so you get an extra day. But you don’t need it. Nope, we’re going to assume that life happens, that things come up, that some days get away from you. In fact, we’re going to say that you are only able to read 30 minutes for 300 days out of the year.
That sounds fair, right?
Well, guess what?
If you can pull off reading 30 minutes each day for 300 days out of 2024… reading at a rate of just 100 words per minute… you will read 900,000 words!
The King James Bible is 783,137 words.
Congratulations! You will have read the entire King James Bible in 2024 – with words to spare!
